Timeline Fader
To create a fader that will turn on lamps according to its position like a bargraph, you may use profiles/dimmercurves:
|
this curve only uses 10% for dimming
- 0-45% no output
- 45-55% dimming range from 0-100%
- 55-100% full output
As the desk calculates all attributes with 16bit accuracy, this 10% range is enough to get decent crossfade resolution.
By only using 1/10 of the channelrange for actual crossfade, the rest of the range may be used to determine where on the fader that the crossfade will happen:
e.g.
- going from 45-55% will give an oupout from 0-100% along the full travel of the fader
- going from 0-55% will use the last part of the fader for crossfade
- going from 45-100% will use the first part of the fader for crossfade
For a range of channels, align the startvalue from 0-45% and the endvalue from 55-100%, to get the channels to fade in according to the position of the fader.
