Defaults Pop-up.

You can access the Defaults Pop-up by pressing the Defaults buttons in the Setup menu (which you access by pressing the SETUP hard button on the desk). This is the Defaults screen:

There are five different categories of defaults (even though one of them has three different headlines). The following is a walkthrough of the different settings.

Programming.

The programming defaults manly concern cue creation and how to enter/alter values.

Basic Fade:

This is the default infade time stored in a cue if you don’t specify something else. This can only be a number.

Basic Outfade:

This is the default outfade time stored in a cue if you don’t specify something else. Beside numbers this can also have the value Infade, which then stores the same value as the infade (leaving the cell empty).

Snap Delay:

This is the default snap delay stored in a cue if you don’t specify something else. This can only be a number.

Trigger:

This is the default trigger stored in a cue if you don’t specify something else. This can be a number resulting in the cue automatically triggering after the specified time. But it can also be GO, FOLLOW and SOUND.

Dual Digit Value Entry / Single Digit Value Entry:

This setting is used for determining the way you like to input values. How exactly this works is kind a tricky to explain in details. But generally if you use “Single Digit” the desk multiplies any single digit number with ten, and you need to use a “dot” to enter a value below ten. I suggest you experiment with what suits you best. To illustrate I have made a small table showing some of the differences:

Default At:

The “Default At” value specifies what value your dimmer channel should go to when you press the AT hard button twice.

Playback Timing.

All these timing settings refer to playback of sequences.

On/Off Time:

This is the time a sequence will use turning on or off. This can only be a number.

GOTO & GO-:

If you use the GOTO and GO- commands you can use the Cue Timing or you can specify a different specific time.

MIB Delay:

If you specify a number different than “0s” here you can set a delay in the Move In Black function.

MIB Fade:

If you specify a number different than “0s” here you can set a fade time in the Move In Black function.

Executor Defaults.

The following settings refer to the creation and use of executors.

Default is Sequence / Default is Chaser:

When storing a cue directly to an executor, you can choose if the desk creates a Sequence or a Chaser.

Chase Speed:

This specifies the default chaser speed.

Chase Fade:

This specifies the default chaser fade time.

Readout BPM / Readout SEC / Readout HZ:

Here you can change if you prefer your speed settings to be in Beats Per Minute, Seconds or in Hertz. When you change this option you will also se the unit in Chase Speed setting will change accordingly.

Crossfade Permanent / Crossfade Reload:

Permanent crossfade allows you to crossfade in bout the up and down direction. Reload means that you need to start the fade from 0 to 100 every time.

Remotes use cmdline / Remotes as stored:

This setting has to do with the use of remote Touchboard, DMX or MIDI. If you use the setting “use Commandline” every command executed from that remote device will show in the commandline on the desk it is connected to. If you use the setting “as stored” it is not possible

List Button Normal / List Button Fixed:

The list button allows you to see different windows on your screen. If you have this setting at Normal the desk will at some point automatically change the window. If you have this setting at Fixed the window will stay.

Sheet Sorting.

There are three different sheets where you can decide how you sheets should (as a default - you can always change it) be sorted. The sheets are: “Fixture Sheet”, “Channel Sheet” and “Fader Sheet”. The different sortings are:

Sheet Fontsize.

There are two different places where you can set the default font size. The External Screens and the Internal Screens (build in). There are three different sizes: Small, Big and Huge.

Sheet Readout.

Here you choose how you sheets should display values (you can change this in the sheets settings). There are four different settings:

Misc.

Blackout Push / Blackout Toggle / Blackout Disabled:

This setting is used for the BLACK OUT button above the GRAND MASTER fader. There are three different settings:

Master Enabled / Master Disabled:

This setting enables or disables the GRAND MASTER fader.

Highlight Normal / Highlight is Solo:

This sets the HIGHLIGHT button in one of two different modes. The normal mode sets a fixture/channel in the fixture types predefined state and leaves everything else. If you keep the button pressed the fixture/channel starts flashing. In the Solo mode the fixture/channel goes to the predefined highlight values, but blacks out everything else. There is no flashing function.

Keyboard English / Keyboard German / Keyboard Russian:

Here you tell the desk what layout type your keyboard is.

Keyboard Dot-Zero / Keyboard Zero-Dot:

You have the option to change the order on the desks numeric keys. You can change 0 (zero) and the . (dot).

Preset Colors:

This sets a color scheme for all the presets at the same time. When you press the button you get this small pop-up:

There are three different color schemes to choose from.
The Green & Yellow scheme looks like this:

The Rainbow scheme looks like this:

The Black & White scheme looks like this:

The Exit button closes the small pop-up without any changes.

You can change the colors in the preset window individual, but this is for changing all of them. Read more about preset windows here.

Trackball:

This sets how you trackball should react when you push the TRACKERBALL ON button (on the full Size). There are three different settings for the trackball:

Reset to Defaults.

At the top of the window there are a button named Reset to Defaults this sets all the settings back to there factory settings.

Exiting the Defaults Pop-up.

To return to the Setup Menu you can press the blue cross in the upper right corner.
