Stage.
The Stage Window gives you a simple wireframe setup of you stage and fixture positions. It also gives you a simple illustration of your moving lights position and color.
Simple dimmer channels can also have a color attached. This is done under the Setup->Full Access. Fixtures you have selected (on the stage window or any other way) are shown with a yellow frame. Fixtures that have output have a single line coming from it in the direction the fixture is currently pointed and in the color the fixture is currently projecting.
This is the main window:
|
If you on the window right-click and hold you can move stage around (or maybe you are moving around the stage) to see your setup from different angles.
If the window is the last used window you can press “Enter” on your keyboard and the virtual stage will start to rotate continually.
The top bar has three different buttons on the right side plus the yellow button in the left corner. The following is an explanation of the buttons.
Normal.
This is the normal mode where you can select fixtures by pointing the curser at it. When the curser is over any of the fixtures you get a small information pop-up that gives you the Fixture ID (if any), the Channel ID (if any) and the fixture name.
|
Selecting fixtures are about everything you can do in the Normal mode. In this mode the window is harmless.
Follow.
When you have one or several fixtures selected you can use the follow mode to point at a certain point on the stage.
All you need to do is the left-click on the point you need them to be at.

After:

|
If you click and hold you can move the light around until you are satisfied with the position.
Notice: It is very important that you fixtures are placed correctly in the virtual stage vs. the real stage. Otherwise the follow function will not work properly.
Setup.
This is a powerful tool to move and change your fixtures. All changes here will be stored in the Setup. Be careful!
To move the fixtures on the virtual stage you can use the Setup mode of the Stage window. With this you can use the encoders to position the virtual fixtures.
When you enter the Setup mode with one (or more) fixtures selected, your encoders change function. The screen looks like this:
|
The top row tells you the name of the fixture. Following this is a button that gives you access to the different wizards (the wizard is described in a section on its own. Link to Wizard page). On the right side of the top row you have access to the Align function. And the last button changes the encoders between position (shifting the fixtures) and rotation.
To move the selected fixture(s) you simply rotate the encoders. The button that says single (or Group) has no effect when simply moving fixtures around. It will always move all the selected fixtures together.
The button on the far right is used for moving rotated fixtures. If you change it to this:
|
You can move the fixture on the rotated axis instead of the X, Y and Z axis.
To change to rotation mode you can press the “Position 1 of 2” button and then the lower part changes to this view:
|
Here you can rotate fixtures as a single or a group. This illustrates the difference. First a rotation on the Y axis in Single mode:
|
Next also a rotation on the Y axis but this time in the Group mode:
|
As you can see in one mode you move the individual fixtures and in the other mode you move the entire group of fixture around a common axis.
Deleting the window.
To close the window you can press/click the yellow button in the upper left corner. This will give you the following pop-up:
|
Here you can choose to close the Stage Window.
