Setup Menu.
You access the Setup menu by pressing the Setup Hard button on the desk. Here you access the Patch and gives you access to many of the settings on the desk. This is the main setup window:

There are four different areas of the setup screen. The following is a walkthrough of the different settings.
Fixture Schedule.
At the top of the fixture schedule you can see the name of the show. At the bottom you can see the version number and the total number of possible parameters. The following is a short description of the five buttons in the fixture schedule part of the setup menu.
Full Access:
The full access button give you full access to the fixture patch and show setup. Here you can add, delete or move fixtures. You can also change their position on the virtual stage, change how the fixtures work and change the stage setup. If you want details read about the Full Access pop-up. When you are using grandMA in a network and save & exit the full access the settings are uploaded to all the other stations in the network.
Live Access:
In Live Access you can make some changes. You cannot add or remove fixtures, but you can change their patch and their position on the virtual stage. If you want details read about the Live Access pop-up.
Auto Create:
In the Auto Create pop-up you can make the desk create predefined presets, groups, effects and MAtricks. It is also here you clone fixtures and import & export USITT ASCII files. If you want details read about the Auto Create pop-up.
Message Boxes on one Screen / Message Boxes on all Screens:
This button got two different settings. You can choose to have message boxes pop-up on the active screen or on all your screens.
Wide Executor Mode:
Wide executor mode allows you to access the same faders on a grandMA Light, Ultra Light and Replay Unit as on the Full Size (executor faders 1 to 20 and executor buttons 21 to 60). Otherwise thiese executors are only accessable using the Command Line, or if you create a "PlaybackWindow" and set that to show the faders/buttons you need.
Adjustments.
The adjustments are concentrated about the screens and how the desks faders and encoders work. Read about the adjustment buttons below.
Touchscreen Calibration:
In touchscreen calibration there are three buttons (Left, Middle and Right) if your desk has the screens you can press the buttons and this pop-up appears:

Now all you need to do is to press each of the four crosses and your screen is calibrated. You also ahave the option to escape the calibration process.
Touchscreen Options:
In touchscreen options you can turn on or off the touch function on the three screens (if any). You can also use the F9 button on the keyboard to turn off the touch function on all the touchscreens. This can be useful in the case of a faulty screen. You will need the mouse the reactivate the touch function.
External VGA Options:
Here you can turn on or off the mouse function on the external screens. Auto will automatically recognize the presence of an external screen and enable the mouse function.
Click & Beep:
Beep On and Beep Off respectively turns on or off the internal speaker.
Encoder & Fader Movement:
There are five different buttons in the encoder & fader movement section. The Trackball can have two different speed settings (Coarse and Fine). The Encoders can have three different speed settings (Coarse, Fine and Finest). These settings can also be changed “on the fly” using the Quikeys.
The Push is Fast can be changed to Push is Slow changes how the encoders react when pushed and rotated at the same time.
The fader button has three different settings:
Faders Auto: When you change pages the faders move to the position corresponding to the fader value. Both in Executor and Channel mode.
Faders Manual: When you change pages the values changes accordingly but the faders don’t move. You can use the fader to adjust the values.
Faders Disabled: The faders don’t do or change any values.
When changing from manual to auto you need to change page before the fader move correctly.
The encoder button has four different settings:
Wheel Additive: When you move the encoder the selected values will change simultaneously up and down. If they reach the minimum or maximum value they are aligned i.e. the difference in value are removed.
Wheel Incremental: When you move the encoder the selected values will change simultaneously up and down. If they reach the minimum or maximum value the difference in values is maintained.
Wheel Proportional +: When you move the encoder the selected values will change simultaneously up and down. The differences in values will be kept proportionally. All the selected attributes will reach the minimum value simultaneously.
Wheel Proportional -: When you move the encoder the selected values will change simultaneously up and down. The differences in values will be kept proportionally. All the selected attributes will reach the maximum value simultaneously.
Lights.
In the light section you can adjust the background lighting on the touchscreens in two different settings: Bright and Dark.
You can use the slider to change the level on the gooseneck lights on the desk (if any). You can also use the button at the bottom to turn the lights On or Off.
Misc.
The Miscellanies section gives you access to different setting relating to the desk.
Defaults:
In the defaults settings you can change default times and how different sheets should appear as a default. If you want details read about the Defaults pop-up.
Date and Time:
In Date and Time you can obviously change the date and time. You can also change daylight savings and the location. If you want details read about the Date and Time pop-up.
Display Language:
The desk can currently use nine different languages (English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Russian, Turkish and Czech). Pressing the button gives you a warning that the desk saves and reboots when selecting a different language. If you accept this you get this pop-up:

Here you can select any of the languages by clicking or pressing on them.
Dimension:
You can change the desk to use metric or imperial dimensions. You can also change the dimension resolution (Meter / Centimeter / Millimeter or Feet / Inch).
Oops Settings:
The oops settings determent what actions the Oops buttons should undo. If you want details read about the Oops Settings pop-up.
Screensaver:
Pressing this button you can change how long the desk should be idle before activating the screen saver. You can also choose to turn the screen saver off.
Update Software:
When you want to update (or “downdate”) the software you can use this button. You can also press F4 on the keyboard to access this pop-up. If you want details read about the Update Software pop-up.
Close the Setup Menu.
Pressing the blue cross in the upper right corner or the Setup hard button you can close the Setup Menu.
