Help On Navigation

Some of the menu-items below are only available after you have registred and logged in with your username.

Navigation Menu

• Welcome, Introduction page

• MainIndex, Main starting points of this site

• TitleIndex, List of all pages in this site

• WikiHelp, Main help page for using this site

• RecentChanges, List of the latest changes to this site

• FindPage, Links to a page offering search and index functions

• Search: allows you to search this site. The default button (you get it by hitting <ENTER>) does a title search. If you want to do a full text search, you need to click on the other button. Besides the default menus, you can also add your favourite pages by clicking Add Link on each page or editing Quick links list in UserPreferences.

Page Menu

• Edit (Text) and Edit (GUI) allows you to edit the page with either the graphical or text-based editor

  • If you have no right to edit this page, Immutable Page is displayed instead

• Info, shows meta information about the page, e.g the full version history

• Subscribe/Unsubscribe, allows to subscribe or unsubscribe to email notifications for the current page

• Add Link/Remove Link, allows to add/remove your favourite pages to/from navigation bar

• Attachments, allows to add and get attachments of the page

• More Actions:, contains the following common functions:

  • Raw Text, shows the source code of the current page

  • Print View, shows a printable version of the page without the menues

  • Delete Cache, force the page to be recompiled

  • Check Spelling, invokes spelling checker

  • Like Pages, prints a list of pages with titles similar to this page

  • Local Site Map, prints a list of pages that are referred from this page

User Menu

• Not logged in:

  • Login, link to log in or register as a new user

• Logged in:

  • UserName, link to your home page

  • Preferences, link to your UserPreferences

  • Logout, link to logout from this site

  • Recently viewed: lists the last five pages visited, so you can jump back several pages easily.

Page Content

• On top of the page you will find the pagename. Clicking this link will to a search for pages linking to this page.

• If the page is a subpage, the parentpage(s) will also be listed, for easy navigation up one level.
• Links to other pages are displayed with blue text. If the Link is in grey, the page is not yet defined, and you may click the link to create this page.

• External links to other websites are displayed with an icon in front: LightNetwork

• External links to other wikis are displayed with another icon in front: DMX512-A (Wikipedia)
